Nanny Mark I remember your kindness and humour. I remember the silly characters we’d invent- Hamish and Patrick who liked to play squash. I remember your patience when I used to insist on playing the demo of Rondo Alla Turca on the keyboard over and over again, trying to convince you that it was really me playing. I remember performing my rendition of Riverdance for you in the living room and you telling me how good I was. Swimming at Magnet leisure centre while you sat watching, looking after our mighty white sandwiches. My love of Slough is something no one understands but it’s because I was there with you, visiting Auntie Mabel’s shop, playing in Uncle John’s office or shopping in Poundland. Thank you for everything, the most perfect Nanny there ever was. I love you xxxx
